Leslie Lewiston Etterbeek is an industry veteran with 28 years of experience in the property management field, having served in several leadership capacities with leading firms in the metropolitan area. In this time, she has developed a strong reputation as a results -driven executive, with a sharp focus on operational efficiency and a keen ability to recognize and develop vital management teams at each project. Leslie started her career in 1988, accepting the role of Regional Property Manager for Sullivan-Smith and Practical Management Company. In this position, she maintained operational control of more than 4,000 apartment units, while establishing and developing a staff of 200 close employees. In 1997, Leslie broadened her involvement to become the Regional Director and Vice President of Home Properties of New York (HME -REIT), with operational responsibility and guardianship of more than 5,000 units. Currently, she is the President of LR Management Services Corporation, which provides both direct and third party management of more than 2,000 units, primarily in Metropolitan Detroit and in select locations throughout the state of Michigan. In this latest role, she has fostered a staff of more than 20 cross-functional leaders, the majority of whom have worked closely with her for her entire career. Leslie graduated magna cum laude from Pomona College in Claremont, California and was accepted to the University of Michigan School of Medicine, where she enrolled in 1987, prior to making a firm commitment to the property management industry. Leslie is also a licensed builder and broker in the state of Michigan.
Kyle M. Lonn, CPA, joined LR Management in October 2017 as Chief Financial Officer. Kyle oversees accounting and recordkeeping, prepares financial statements for lenders/owners, manages escrow accounts, analyzes financial trends to create cost-saving initiates and improve operating efficiencies, prepares tax information and budgets, interfaces with tax consultants and owners, and designs and implements cash flow proformas for new projects. Before joining the LR Management team, Kyle served as an auditor for five years in New York City and Metro Detroit, auditing multifamily market rate and affordable residential properties. Kyle has extensive compliance experience with Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), Division of Housing and Community Renewal (DHCR), Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), and Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA). Kyle has been instrumental in facilitating LR Management's growth.
Matthew DeVos is a strong member of the LR Management team and in his role as Chief Operating Manager, he has increased property efficiency and organization with innovative solutions. He is a dedicated and highly skilled professional with more than 15 years of experience as a Regional Manager, Business Owner and Operator in the field. Matthew first entered the property management industry while attending the College of Business at Eastern Michigan University in 2001. He has also been certified as a National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP).
Regional Property Manager Jenna Fedenis has been with LR Management since 2011. Jenna started at LR Management with a position in the accounting department before joining the management team, where she now excels at building and maintaining relationships with owners. The communities she oversees have won several awards for both curb appeal and leasing excellence. Jenna’s most notable specialty is her vast knowledge of Yardi, the integral accounting software program used across all properties. Working closely with Leslie and Kyle, Jenna is experienced at identifying and providing key reports that enable the LR Management team to successfully manage the portfolio. Before joining LR Management, Jenna graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and spent four years at a major property management firm.
In her position as Regional Manager for LR Management, Carol Smothers is responsible for overseeing 600 units as well as training and mentoring new management and leasing talent company wide. Prior to becoming Regional Manager, Carol spent 10 years managing Pilgrim Village in Canton, MI. It was during her time at Pilgrim Village that her excellent creative thinking, closing and negotiating skills were demonstrated. Before joining LR Management, Carol spent eight years with a major developer overseeing many different properties, allowing her to hone her craft and learn the business from the ground up.
With more than 20 years of experience at LR Management, Teddi Childs has an in-depth familiarity with all aspects of on-site property management. Teddi started her career with LR Management as a Leasing Consultant, then quickly advanced to Assistant Property Manager and then to Property Manager at various LR Management communities. Her extensive knowledge of HUD Guidelines and Section 8 Voucher Programs has made her an invaluable source of information for other community managers. Today, in her role as Executive Property Manager, Teddi oversees the daily operations of Stratford Villa Apartments and Townhomes in Oak Park, MI. Her genuine personality, strong work ethic and quality leadership skills make her a highly respected LR Management team member.
Daniel Delattre, Regional Maintenance Manager for LR Management, has an extensive background in the apartment industry maintenance field. Having worked for Leslie L. Etterbeek since 1991, Daniel currently oversees a team of 27 maintenance employees and numerous LR Management communities located in Sterling Heights, Riverview, Southfield, Saginaw and Dewitt. His daily responsibilities include traveling to LR Management communities to provide help and assistance with any maintenance issues as well as training new maintenance employees. Among his many other capabilities, Daniel specializes in HVAC and pool maintenance and repairs.
Ron Sosnoski, Regional Maintenance Manager, oversees the maintenance department for LR Management communities located in Canton, Westland and Southfield. He is a journeyman and a bricklayer by trade, and has been involved in the building and construction industry for more than 25 years. Ron began his career with LR Management 12 years ago after working on a large construction project for their organization. Ron’s extensive experience and in-depth knowledge in the maintenance field means no project is too difficult for him to handle. In addition to managing a team of six, he is also responsible for training new maintenance employees.
